Nokia 6220 & Variants
When dismantling any phone, great care should be taken to ensure that no damage is caused to any of the parts. Rough handling may result in severe damage of many parts, and if proper anti-static procedures are not followed, electrostatic damage may result in any electronic component.
Before commencing, it is recommended that the correct tools are purchased for the job in hand - at the very least, you will require a Torx T6 screwdriver.
Step 1. Protect the screen
with a film or similar.

cover.

Step 3. Remove the front
fascia.

Step 4. Remove the key
mat.

Step 12. Use your shim to
remove the LCD screen as shown below.

Step 13. Use a toothpick
or similar to remove the microphone taking care not to damage the contacts.

Step 14. The ear piece is
held in place with double sided tape which will probably have to be replaced if
the speaker is removed.

Step 15. Unlock the user
interface module on the left side first and then lift it up carefully.

Step 16. Use an unplugged
charger to remove the power jack.

Step 17. Remove the vibra
motor.

Step 18. Use tweezers to
remove the release spring.

Step 19. Use tweezers to
push through the opening in the C cover and remove the release key.

Step 20. Use a flat bladed
screwdriver to remove the aerial assembly.

Step 21. Remove the volume
key.

Step 22. Remove the power
key.

Step 23. Reassembly is a simple reversal of the above steps taking extra time to ensure that everything works as it should, and that you have caused no damage whilst inside the handset.
